Hanukkah lamp - Morocco A copper Hanukkah lamp. Morocco, first half of the 20th century] In the center of the back wall are a lamp with seven reeds, a shofar and a chalice. In the center of the menorah is engraved the inscription ”These candles are holy.” Two birds appear to the left and right of the lamp. At the top of the bird wall the side walls as well as the lateral edges of the back wall are decorated with drilled triangles and other geometric patterns. The base of the menorah and the back leg are also decorated with floral and geometric patterns. Eight holes for the mirrors and the sun, a hook for hanging. Length: 28 cm, width: 26 cm.
