Hanukkah Menorah – Italian Style, Angels and Moons In the center of the back wall, a winged angel kneels on a jug, holding in his hands winding rods that end like flowers at the bases of columns. On the sides, two winged angels (centaurs), facing outwards and sticking out their horns, each holding a jug with a moon-shaped mask-profile underneath. At the top of the back wall is a shield and on both sides are angels (poti) holding the tips of the wings of the side angels, sitting on the lid of the central jug and at their feet are the capitals of the columns.
