Holy Ark Screen, Silver Letters A striking Holy Ark Screen, Eastern Europe, Terla (1875). Made of purple velvet fabric decorated with silver embroidery. In the center, a medallion topped by a pair of lions holding a crown and the inscription: ”Z”n 25 Yaakov Dov Rosenthal, the humble son of Yantel and the love of their only son, Joseph Zanvil, here, from the town of Terla, to the village of Zanvil”, surrounded by the Star of David screens.
