A rare item for Minister Moshe Montefiore. A memorial plaque, probably from a synagogue, made of bronze for Minister Moshe Montefiore. Decorated with an English inscription translated into Hebrew ”Minister Moshe Montefiore October 27, 1784 = Cheshvan 8, 5544, died on July 28, 1785”. In the center of the plaque is the image of Moshe Montefiore with a medallion describing the character of Moshe from the poet Shakespeare. Bronze casting that is decorated as a frame to commemorate the memory. Dimensions: 44*58 cm.
