Large album in olive wood binding – photographs and dried flowers from the Land of Israel – late 19th or early 20th century Fleurs de Terre Sainte / Flowers of the Holy Land / Blumen aus dem Heiligen Lande [Flowers of the Holy Land]. Publisher unknown, Jerusalem, [late 19th or early 20th century]. French, English and German. Album containing 18 chromolithographic prints of sites in and around the Land of Israel, including the Jaffa Beach, Jaffa Gate, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Gethsemane, Beit Aniyah, Barchot Shlomo, Hebron, the Dead Sea, Damascus and Baalbek. Opposite each print appears an arrangement of dried flowers, and below it a title in French, English and German indicating the site from which the flowers were collected. The album is bound in a handsome olive wood binding, on which is carved the Dome of the Rock, surrounded by a colorful frame made of inlaid small pieces of wood, and below it the title ”Jerusalem”. 32X24 cm. Good condition. Minor stains and defects on the album pages. Crack across the back cover board
