Silver Siddur Case – North Africa A silver case made as a rectangular box with a removable silver plate lid. The box is decorated with floral and geometric patterns. On both sides of the case are rings with a chain for hanging the case around the neck. A prayer book is placed inside. It was probably originally intended as a case for Islamic manuscripts, and was converted by Jews into a siddur case.Case dimensions only: 9*11 cm.
