Yakov Gildor (born January 21, 1948) is an Israeli painter, one of the representatives of surrealism and the painters of the "second generation" in Israeli painting.
Yaakov-Joseph Gildengorn was born in the town of Feuchtwanger in Germany. The son of Holocaust survivors who arrived in the town separately after the war when their entire family perished in the extermination camps. In 1948, with the birth of their son Yaakov, the family immigrated to Israel and settled in Holon.
