Torah Finials - Morocco - ”Holy to God” Torah Finials (”apples”). [Morocco, circa 1920. Light metal and copper, sawn and soldered. Massive grenades, impressive ”folk” work. Each pomegranate has five sides. On each side, decorations are sawn in regular patterns (from bottom to top): elongated circles or small horseshoe arches, a trellis, a large horseshoe arch, a square with a sawn inscription: ”Holy to God” (the inscription is divided between the five sides), a diagonal grid and a small rhombus. In the heads of the grenades are metal arches. Ball bells, decorations and broken in the heads of the grenades. Height: 38 cm. Good condition.
