Jewish Damascus brass center piece bowl, dated 1912, signed by an artisan. A large and luxurious brass centerpiece bowl, inlaid with silver and copper using the Damascus technique. Signed Damascus work 191, decorated with date trees and arabesques. Bears an inscription in Hebrew: ”Your wife is like a fruitful vine in the back of your house, your sons are like olive groves around your table” (Psalms Kakah 3) Bears an inscription on the leg in Hebrew: ”A righteous person like a date palm will blossom like a cedar in Lebanon will succeed” (Psalms Mag), very good condition, height: 28 cm
