Rare, Silver Torah Scroll Pomegranates, Nuremberg, early 19th century A rare German silver Torah scroll pomegranate, Nuremberg, early 19th century. Decorated with gilding, decorated with smooth and delicate ballet work between them, and geometric line work. The upper part is designed as a four-sided crown topped by a pine cone. Height: 33 cm. Weight: 900 grams. Stamped with the maker's stamp ”SE” and the Nuremberg city stamp with the date ”N” (1803 or 1828). Good condition, minor defects. Provenance: Belonged to the Metropolitan Museum in New York, purchased from Stubby's New York auction.
