Olive wood box with Star of David decoration - Israel, 19th century A box made of olive wood, for storing sewing tools. Land of Israel, end of the 19th century. Decorations are made of inlaying tiny pieces of wood: two frames and a large Star of David, located in the center of the lid. Printed inscription: ”Jerusalem” and ”Jerusalem”. In the inner part there are small compartments for storing sewing needs as well as a velvet pillow. The upper tray can be pulled out and there is additional storage space underneath. The frame on the inside of the lid without a picture. Length: 21 cm, width: 28.5 cm, height: 12.5 cm, fabric glued to the bottom.
