The French painter Alexandre Bida (1813-1895) visited Israel in 1859 and painted the appearance of the Western Wall and its worshippers. It is interesting to note that the worshippers placed their shoes in a pile on the side of the plaza. Approximately 60X50 cm. Good condition.
