Two Embroidered Dedication Tablets - North Africa 1. Embroidered dedication tablet. North Africa (Morocco), [early 20th century]. Silk on cardboard; gold thread embroidery. The plaque bears the inscription: ”The Kaddishah Esther Mrs. Ben Yizri Shalom for the offerings [!] of the 'Noah' father David Cohen, deceased.” Length: 20 cm, width: 12.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Some of the letters are not fully covered. Light wear and tears. 2. Embroidered dedication plaque. North Africa (Morocco), [early 20th century]. Silk on cardboard; silver thread embroidery. The plaque bears the inscription: ”The Kaddishah by Shalom Ben Yizri for the repose of his father Maimon Ben Yizri, deceased.” Length: 21 cm, width: 13.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains, wear and holes on the plaque, some of the letters are not fully covered.
