”Handle” for a Torah scroll – Holland, 1817 ”Handle” for a Torah scroll. Probably Amsterdam, Holland, 1817. Silver (stamped, full stamps; maker unknown) cast and engraved. Dutch ”hand” for a Torah scroll. The upper part of the handle is hexagonal and decorated with a ball at the end. The lower part of the handle is cylindrical and smooth, narrowing towards the cuff. The palm is clenched, with a long index finger.Length: 26 cm. Very good condition.
