Large, heavy, and impressive metal vessel for water for washing the hands of the priests - circa 1820 A large metal samovar, made of heavy tin, intended for water for the priests to wash their hands before ascending the pulpit. This vessel was used to store the water used for washing. From the tap on the vessel, they poured into the vat (see previous item), and from the vat, Levites would pour water for the priests. On the vessel is a drawing of the priests' hands raised up during the priests' blessing, and beneath it is engraved the verse recited in the blessing: ”May the Lord lift up his face to you and grant you peace.” Height: 30 cm. Width: 30 cm. Depth: 22 cm. Excellent condition. Very rare!
