Gold Medal, King Hussein of Jordan, State Medal, 1999. Purity: 14-585 carats, weight: 17 grams, diameter: 30.5 mm, in original case. Obverse of the medal: Portrait of King Hussein of Jordan. To the left of the portrait, from top to bottom, the coat of arms of the kingdom, the inscription ”H.M. HUSSEIN KING OF JORDAN”, a similar inscription in Arabic, the inscription in English, ”H.M. HUSSEIN KING OF JORDAN” and the years ”1935-1999”. Reverse of the medal: Jordanian flag along the right side and Israeli flag along the left side. A sunken surface along the center with the verse, from top to bottom, ”Shalom ילידעליה אברהם”, the Arabic translation, and the English translation ”PEACE FOR THE CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM”.
