Water tank for hanging on a wall, the tank with a removable lid to fill the tank, and at the bottom of it are two taps made of brass. On it is engraved the inscription ”On the Taking of Hands” and the shape of the hands of the priests. In Eastern European communities, it was customary to hang this type of device at the entrance to the synagogue, for the use of the worshippers in preparation for prayer and for the use of the priests before carrying spoons.Height of the container: 28 cm.
