Silver spice jar, Iraq, late 19th century, often inspired by a mosque minaret or oriental structure, and featuring a removable perforated lid. The jar is decorated with typical landscapes of ancient Iraq, such as date palm trees, traditional sailboats (on the shores) on the Tigris River, and local buildings. An Arabic signature can also be seen on the jar, often indicating the name of the silversmith or the name of the city (such as ”Amara”). Condition: Good, Size: 9 cm
