Item Overview
Description:
A Chinese Blue and White 'Eight Immortals' Bowl, Wanli Mark
A Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl, decorated to the exterior with a continuous figural scene depicting eight figures, likely the Eight Immortals, traversing a stylized landscape with clouds and foliage. The interior features a central medallion enclosing a seated deity with a halo, framed by double blue lines, with a similar band at the rim. The base carries an underglaze blue six-character reign mark, "大明萬曆年製" (Da Ming Wanli Nian Zhi), translating to "Made in the Great Ming Wanli Reign" (1573-1620).
H: Approximately 7cm
D: Approximately 16cm
The bowl presents in generally good condition, showing typical wear consistent with age, minor firing imperfections, and subtle variations in the cobalt blue pigment.
