A Chinese Yellow Ground Famille Rose 'Shou' Longevity Bowl, Yongzheng Mark
A finely potted Chinese porcelain bowl, decorated in the famille rose palette on a pale yellow enamel ground. The exterior features an intricate scrolling floral and foliate pattern in green, blue, purple, and red enamels. Interspersed within the design are circular cartouches, each containing a highly stylized character in blue against a pink-purple swirled ground, including the character '壽' (Shou), meaning longevity. The interior of the bowl is undecorated white porcelain, and the rim is finished with a thin brown line. The base features a six-character underglaze blue mark within a double square, reading "大清雍正年製" (Dà Qīng Yōngzhèng Nián Zhì), translating to "Made in the Great Qing Yongzheng reign."
