A Pair of Chinese Bronze Gilt and Lacquered Guardian Lions Foo Dogs - A pair of Chinese cast bronze guardian lion figures, often referred to as 'Foo Dogs' or 'Shishi' in English, and sometimes as 'Tai Shi Shao Shi' in Chinese cultural contexts. Presented as a male and female, with one figure resting a paw on an orb and the other on a cub. Each figure is sculpted with stylized manes, open mouths, and expressive features, seated atop a drum-shaped pedestal adorned with prominent beast-head motifs and ring handles. H: Approximately 11cm
