A Tibetan Gold Gilt Bronze Figure of a Lama or Arhat, 18th-19th Century - This Tibetan gold gilt bronze figure depicts a seated Buddhist figure, identifiable as an arhat or lama. The figure is rendered in *padmasana* with hands resting in a meditative gesture, wearing simple monastic robes draped over the left shoulder. The expression is serene, with elongated ears and a shaven head, characteristic of Himalayan or Tibetan Buddhist iconography. It is set upon a double-lotus pedestal. The underside of the base features an intact reddish-brown sealing plate, possibly lacquered wood or a composite material, incised with a stylized auspicious Buddhist symbol. H: Approximately 5cm
