A Chinese Glazed Brown-Splashed Ewer. - A Chinese glazed ewer, featuring a globular body, a tapered spout, and a segmented handle adorned with molded, possibly zoomorphic, details. The vessel is covered in a pale, grayish-white or light celadon-toned crackled glaze, exhibiting natural crazing throughout and irregular darker iron spots on the surface. Around the shoulder, there are molded or incised decorative elements resembling stylized leaves or petals, highlighted with brown accents. The domed lid is topped with a bud-form finial.
