It is decorated with underglaze cobalt blue on a white ground, depicting a large, stylized bird with outstretched wings (likely a phoenix or *fenghuang*) amidst scrolling cloud or floral motifs on the main body. The neck is adorned with upright lappet or plantain leaf motifs, while the shoulder displays a continuous scrolling pattern, and the foot features a band of geometric or auspicious symbols.
