A Pair of Chinese Wucai 'Buddhist Lions' Bottle Vases, Qianlong Mark - A pair of Chinese Wucai 'Buddhist Lions' bottle vases. Each vase features a globular body tapering to a cylindrical neck with a slightly flared rim, resting on a small foot ring. The vases are decorated with vibrant polychrome enamels on a white ground, showcasing a stylized band of lappets and ruyi motifs on the neck, a black ground floral scroll on the shoulder, and a dominant design of a green mythical beast (resembling a Foo dog or guardian lion) amidst swirling colorful ribbons on the main body. The base of each vase bears a blue underglaze four-character seal mark, 乾隆年製 (Qiánlóng Nián Zhì), translating to 'Made in the Qianlong reign.' H: Approximately 14.5cm
