A Chinese Famille Verte Baluster Vase, Guangxu Mark - A Chinese Famille Verte baluster vase, Guangxu mark. The vase is decorated in an enameled palette, predominantly green, on a white ground, depicting a fierce green dragon chasing a flaming pearl above a red carp, a mythical beast (possibly a qilin or foo dog) below a phoenix-like bird, and a central auspicious character, likely ”Shou” (longevity), all amidst flames, clouds, and geometric patterns. The neck is adorned with two beast-head handles suspending rings, while the upper and lower body feature dense geometric and wave motifs. The base bears a six-character underglaze blue reign mark ”大清光緒年製” (Dà Qīng Guāngxù Nián Zhì - ”Made in the Guangxu reign of the Great Qing dynasty”) and a partial collection or auction sticker.
