A Chinese Pottery Jar with Geometric Pattern, Possibly Warring States Period. - A Chinese pottery jar, possibly dating to the Warring States Period (475–221 BCE). This small, globular vessel is crafted from a dark greenish-grey unglazed ceramic. Its entire body is deeply carved or molded with a repeating geometric pattern of interlocking six-pointed stars or hexagons, creating a distinctive faceted, tessellated surface. The jar features a short neck, a wide circular mouth, and a flat circular base. H: Approximately 16cm Provenance: Private collection based in West London.
