A Chinese Doucai Dragon and Phoenix Porcelain Lidded Box, Chenghua Mark. - A white porcelain lidded circular box, decorated in the doucai polychrome enamel style. The decoration features a dominant turquoise-green dragon and a vibrant red and multi-colored phoenix amidst ruyi clouds and flame motifs. The intricate design extends across the top and sides of the lid and the base, separated by bands of stylized scrollwork in underglaze blue. The underside of the box displays a six-character underglaze blue reign mark, which translates to ”Great Ming Chenghua Period Made” (大明成化年製).
