A Chinese Blue and Iron-Red Decorated Porcelain Bowl, Yíyǎtáng zhì Mark. - A small, white porcelain bowl or cup, featuring traditional Chinese-style decoration executed in underglaze blue for scrolling vines and overglaze iron-red for pomegranates. The decoration appears on both the exterior and sparsely on the interior. The bowl has a recessed foot rim on its base. An underglaze blue four-character mark, 怡雅堂製 (Yíyǎtáng zhì), is visible on the bottom, arranged in two vertical columns, translating to ”Made for the Hall of Refined Pleasures” or ”Made by the Hall of Harmonious Elegance.” H: Approximately 5.3cm D: Approximately 8.7cm Provenance: Private collection based in West London.
