A Chinese Blue and White 'Dragon' Bowl, Chenghua Mark - A Chinese porcelain bowl featuring intricate underglaze cobalt blue decoration on a white ground. The exterior displays two dynamic, five-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst stylized clouds or waves, with the blue glaze exhibiting a finely crackled texture. The interior center is adorned with a coiled, five-clawed dragon in a medallion, framed by a double blue line, with a matching double line encircling the rim. The recessed base bears a six-character underglaze blue reign mark reading ”大明成化年製” (Dà Míng Chénghuà Nián Zhì), translating to ”Made in the Chenghua Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty.” D: Approximately 18.5cm Provenance: Private collection based in West London.
