A Chinese Blue and White ‘Fish and Lotus’ Bowl, Xuande Mark. - A Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl with rounded sides rising from a short, neatly finished foot. The exterior is painted in underglaze cobalt blue with fish swimming among scrolling lotus plants and aquatic vegetation, arranged in a continuous frieze. The interior is centred with a circular medallion depicting a stylised lotus bloom emerging from water, enclosed within a double-line border beneath the rim. The base bears a six-character Xuande mark within a double circle, executed in underglaze blue. D: Approximately 18.6cm Provenance: Private collection based in West London.
