A Chinese Yellow-Ground Green-Enameled 'Dragon' Bowl, Chenghua Mark. - A Chinese yellow-ground green-enameled 'dragon' bowl, bearing a blue underglaze six-character Chenghua mark (大明成化年製) within a rectangular cartouche to the recessed base. The porcelain bowl features an exterior decoration of vivid yellow enameled dragons rendered in relief, intertwined with green stylized cloud or wave patterns against a plain white ground. The decorative motifs continue onto the foot. The interior of the bowl is plain white, bordered by a thin orange-brown painted rim.
