A Chinese Blue and White 'Palace' Bowl, Xuande Mark. - A Chinese blue and white 'Palace' bowl, Xuande mark. The deep-footed porcelain bowl features extensive underglaze cobalt blue decoration on a white ground. Both the exterior and interior are adorned with a continuous vine motif featuring stylized floral clusters and leaves, with a central matching flower in the bowl's interior and a double blue band at the rim. The base carries a six-character imperial reign mark within a double blue circle, which reads ”大明宣德年製” (Dà Míng Xuāndé Nián Zhì), translating to ”Made in the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty.” D: Approximately 15.8cm Provenance: Private collection based in West London.
