A Chinese Celadon-Glazed 'Dragon' Bowl, Xuande Mark. - A Chinese celadon-glazed porcelain bowl, bearing a six-character underglaze blue Xuande reign mark (1426-1435) to the base. The exterior is subtly incised or molded with a design of dragons amidst swirling clouds, bordered by a continuous band of pattern, possibly Ruyi motifs, below the gently everted rim and around the slightly tapered foot. The interior surface is smooth and undecorated. The glaze presents a uniform, soft jade-green hue. The recessed base features a white-glazed central circle with the blue underglaze reign mark '大明宣德年製'. H: Approximately 9.5cm Provenance: Private collection based in West London.
