A Tibetan White Metal Dragon-Handled Ritual Teapot or Ewer, 20th Century - A Tibetan white metal ritual teapot or ewer, dating to the 19th or 20th century. This ornate, lidded pouring vessel is crafted from a silver-toned metal, exhibiting a consistent dark tarnish and patina across its surface. It features a bulbous body supported by a flared, ribbed foot, an elegant recurved spout, and a substantial C-scroll handle terminating in a stylized mythical animal head, likely a dragon or makara. The vessel is extensively decorated with intricate repoussé or chased work, including dense scrolling foliage, geometric fret patterns, and prominent cartouches on the body that contain figural forms amidst foliate designs. The tiered lid is surmounted by a prominent finial and encircled by a continuous band of Tibetan script, which translates to 'Om Mani Padme Hum'.
