The exterior is intricately decorated with finely incised or cast archaic-style motifs, including geometric meander patterns and stylized zoomorphic forms reminiscent of *taotie* designs, indicative of ancient Chinese bronze aesthetics. The material exhibits a deep reddish-brown patina. The base features a rectangular cartouche enclosing two characters, which translate to 'Xuande' (宣德), a Ming Dynasty reign mark.
