A Chinese Export Rose Medallion Porcelain Lidded Tureen and Underplate, Guangxu Mark - A Chinese Export Rose Medallion porcelain lidded tureen with a matching underplate, rendered in a vibrant polychrome Famille Rose palette. The white glazed surfaces are elaborately decorated with continuous floral borders featuring peonies, other blossoms, and butterflies, interspersed with figural cartouches depicting elegant ladies in interior or garden settings. The tureen features two molded loop handles and a domed lid with a finial, all sharing the same decorative scheme. Both the tureen and underplate exhibit a red six-character reign mark on their bases, reading \”大清光緒年製\” (Dà Qīng Guāngxù Nián Zhì), which translates to \”Made in the Guangxu reign of the Great Qing\” (1875-1908).
