An Ottoman Mother-of-Pearl and Tortoiseshell Inlaid Octagonal Tabletop, 19th-20th Century. A richly decorated Ottoman tabletop, shaped as an octagon and meticulously inlaid with alternating mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell tiles arranged in a radiating geometric pattern. The centre bears an elegant silver-toned tughra cartouche set against a deep tortoiseshell ground. The entire surface forms a striking sunburst motif, bordered by a band of finely cut inlay and framed with a red velvet edge.
