An Islamic Mamluk-Style Enamelled Lidded Box. A round lidded box decorated in rich shades of deep cobalt blue, turquoise, white, red, and gold enamel. The domed lid features an intricate scrolling arabesque motif outlined in gold against a vivid blue ground. The sides display a continuous band of stylised calligraphic forms in white, punctuated with small red floral elements and a multicoloured geometric medallion.
