Sultan Ali: A Safavid Copper Kashkul Beggar's Bowl with Dragon-Head Terminals, Signed Sultan Ali, 17th Century. A finely engraved Safavid copper beggar’s bowl (kashkul), featuring raised dragon-head terminals at each end, their eyes highlighted with turquoise inlay. The body is decorated with a wide band of calligraphic inscriptions in elegant thuluth script, bordered by scrolling floral motifs. Below, the surface is richly adorned with a dense hunting scene depicting mounted horsemen, gazelles, and birds amidst flowering foliage.
