‘Untitled (Sun Face)’ – Behnam Behnamesh, Persian, Oil on Canvas. - A circular tondo painting depicting the Khorshid Khanom, or Sun Lady, a traditional Persian iconographic figure. The central face is rendered with stylized features including a prominent unibrow, large dark eyes, and black wavy hair. The face is surrounded by a double halo of straight gold-toned rays and undulating red rays, set against a textured silver-coloured background.
