A Qajar Brass Repoussé Tray, 19th–20th Century. - Of scalloped circular form, this Qajar-period brass tray is richly worked in low repoussé and chased decoration. The front is densely filled with animated figural scenes arranged in concentric registers, depicting a lively courtly and communal setting with numerous standing and seated figures, animals, and architectural elements, all rendered in fine linear detail. The central medallion is framed by a continuous band, while the outer border is shaped into lobed cartouches with scrolling vegetal ornament. L: Approximately 24.5cm
