A Chinese Islamic Calligraphic Panel with Floral Border, 19th Century. - A finely composed Islamic calligraphic panel combining bold black calligraphy with an intricately painted floral border. The central composition is executed in a highly stylised, symmetrical calligraphic form, likely derived from Sini script, a distinctive Chinese interpretation of Arabic calligraphy characterised by fluid curves and balanced geometry. The calligraphy is arranged to form a unified, almost talismanic motif, with layered and interlocking letterforms creating a strong vertical presence.
