An Indian (Kashmir) Stamped Silver Chinar Leaf–Shaped Bon Bon Dish, Late 19th Century. - Formed as a stylised cluster of chinar leaves, this late 19th-century Indian silver bon bon dish is likely from Kashmir, a region renowned for silverwork inspired by local flora. The dish is composed of three deeply modelled leaf-shaped bowls arranged around a central stem, with pierced and chased vine-like connections uniting the elements. Each leaf is finely worked with dense engraved foliate and scroll motifs, the veins articulated through rhythmic linear engraving. The scalloped edges further enhance the naturalistic effect, while the underside shows corresponding chased decoration.
