A Khorasan Style Cast Bronze Zoomorphic Incense Burner. - Cast in bronze and modelled as a standing feline, the incense burner is formed with a compact, muscular body supported on four legs and a raised, curving tail pierced with star-shaped openings. The head is powerfully rendered with pronounced facial features, pointed ears, and a hinged upper section that opens to reveal the interior cavity intended for incense. The body is extensively pierced with star-shaped perforations arranged in dense clusters across the torso, legs, neck, and tail, allowing light and smoke to pass through when in use. Engraved bands and incised linear decoration articulate the shoulders, haunches, and collar area, dividing the surface into geometric and ornamental zones. The lid section is neatly integrated into the head and neck, bordered by a decorative collar that frames the opening. H: Approximately 21cm
