A Qajar Brass Kashkul Beggar's Bowl with Figural and Calligraphic Decoration. - Of rounded, globular form with a wide circular mouth, the vessel is richly engraved across the exterior with dense decorative registers. The upper band features flowing Arabic calligraphy arranged in a continuous frieze, bordered above and below by finely worked geometric and foliate bands. The body is divided into repeated almond-shaped cartouches, each enclosing stylised figural and animal motifs rendered in low relief, interspersed with scrolling vegetal ornament. The surface displays a warm golden tone, with engraved details standing out clearly against the ground. H: Approximately 13.5cm
