A Set of Four Qajar Engraved Brass Torch Stands with Figural and Foliate Motifs, 19th Century. - A collection of four cast brass torchstands, known as mash'al, each designed with a tapered cylindrical shaft punctuated by two rope-twist collars and supported by a wide, flared circular base. The surfaces are finished in a deep, aged patina and are densely decorated with fine engravings throughout.
