A Large Enamelled Middle Eastern Lidded Jar with Polychrome Floral and Arabesque Decoration. - The vessel has a broad, rounded body rising from a narrow foot to a wide mouth fitted with a metal rim. The exterior is densely decorated with polychrome enamel, featuring symmetrical cartouche panels filled with scrolling floral and foliate motifs. These are framed by interlacing arabesque bands in tones of blue, red, green, white, and gold. Smaller blossoms and leafy sprays fill the surrounding ground, creating a richly layered surface. The base is plain with a light ground and bears a small painted mark at the centre. H: Approximately 14cm
