This contemporary calligraphic painting is executed in black pigment on a square, textured white canvas support. The composition features modern Arabic calligraphy, characterised by a series of tall, uniform vertical strokes that transition into a dense, interlocking arrangement of cursive letterforms across the lower half of the work. A section of the upper-central calligraphic element is filled with a repeating diamond-shaped pattern. Signed in red ink in the lower-left quadrant with the artist's name in Persian script نصرالله افجه‌ای and in Latin characters Afjei.  Approximately 85 x 84cm
