A finely constructed 19th century percussion cap travelling pistol, featuring a browned octagonal barrel and engraved lock plate. The hammer is of characteristic dolphin-head form, with subtle foliate engraving visible to the metal surfaces. The hardwood stock displays a rich reddish tone with pronounced grain, terminating in a deeply chequered grip for secure handling.
